Paul's dad, Joe, is one of my favorite men in the world. He is an incredible man and the best example of a father any wife could ask for. Paul has no 'daddy issues', so I'm hoping that Miriam won't either. Joe is kind, genuine, thoughtful and a little flirty. He makes everyone feel comfortable and I wish more people in this world were like him.
A few weeks ago, Joe was recognized by the Mississippi State Business School and their Insurance and Risk Mgmt department for his dedication to MSU and the field of insurance. They have started a scholarship in his name, which is a huge accomplishment. A reception was held in Columbus to celebrate Joe, and Paul and I wouldn't have missed it for anything!
Speakers from his State Farm past spoke about what a great man Joe is and how lucky they are to be his friend. It was so special. During the mingling, several people came up to me and shared stories I had never heard about Joe...stories again of his generosity and kindness. Of course, when Joe got up, he turned it all around. He thanked all of us (in the audience) for being his angels. Such a selfless man.
I'm so proud to be a part of his family.
