Miriam is so ready for her birthday. It's hysterical. Someone I know joked that her 2-year-old didn't even know she was having a party. Miriam is counting down. She gets so excited talking about her Foofah cake and "yardican" balloons (she's not getting Backyardigan balloons...they were at another fun birthday she went to and she can't get it out of her head.) She goes through the list of who is coming and who their mommy is:"Hawason coming and Mid Monica, Sawah coming and Mid Header" She gets it.
Today she wouldn't nap. I went into her room and very sternly told her to go to sleep. She said, "I so cited" (I'm so excited). I (very ugly) told her there wasn't anything in her room to be excited about and to go to sleep. She told me, "I ready for my birdday party". I laughed as I shut the door and she again sang "Happy Birthday" to herself.
I just don't know what to do when her party is over. Cruel lessons at such a young age.
