2008 Larsen Family Christmas Party

Miriam had an absolute blast at the Larsen Christmas Party! You can rarely get her to stop for pictures these days, let alone smile for them. She was so happy here that she wanted to show it!

We had missed the party for some years and it always made me sad, but now that we have Miriam, Paul understands how important it is for me to go. We had a party for Paul's work on Friday night, but that didn't stop us from getting up at the crack of dawn to be there! I considered not going because driving 10 hours out of 36 is not the most fun, but I couldn't keep Miriam from her BFF, Mia Morgan. Her reaction when she saw MM and Cooper was PRICELESS. It brings Steph and I so much joy that our kids are so close!

It was so fun to see all my cousins and their beautiful children. Right before we opened gifts, they all sat in front of the tree and sang Christmas Carols. It was precious. Of course, Miriam chimed in during "Frosty"...have I mentioned Miriam's current obsession of all things Frosty. We watch it daily, sometimes twice a day. I knew all the words to every verse of the song b/c I watch it so much. That carol went on a little too long.

Miriam got some great Princess books from Madison (who was a flower girl at our wedding and now is almost as tall as me). She broke the wand that went with the book before I could get it out of the box. It frustrated me so bad, but I thought "What Would Paul Do?"...and he wouldn't have gotten angry and realized she was only two and excited about her present. I calmed down and Miriam enjoyed her books. (My husband is the best dad!) Mason, my cousin Brad's little boy, got a punching bag as a gift and MM and Miriam were all over it.

We got together from some group shots that were hysterical. The number of cameras were countless. I had so much fun watching Miriam while all the photos were taken. She smiled and said, "Cheese"...she totally got it that pictures were being taken. She kept looking at me like she couldn't believe all the people were saying "Cheese", too. She's getting to be such a big girl. As you can see, Paul enjoyed himself, too, in the 'boy' shot. I think it's fun for him to be a part of such a big group!

We had the best time! I know my Maw-Maw and Paw-Paw were looking down on us with such family pride. I'm a lucky girl to be a part of such a loving family and even more lucky that I get to share it with Miriam and Paul!
