The Wedding Singer

Last Saturday, after our week in Destin (more on that later), we went to my cousin, Lindsey's wedding. It was at an old mansion in Gautier, outside...it truly was beautiful. The food was great, the flowers were gorgeous and Ashley, the bride, looked like a princess, or "pincess" as Miriam would say. We have never taken Miriam to a wedding before, so we were really excited. We felt comfortable taking her to this one because it was outdoors and at 4:30 in the afternoon...plus, it was my family, who is the most relaxed and forgiving ever. She talked a bit during the ceremony. You know her, she asked for cookies. I mistakenly packed chocolate chip. Seriously, what was I thinking? She was in her beautiful Easter dress that Bebe made her. Fortunately, the chocolate landed on Paul's shirt and not her. Sorry, babe!!!

She clapped when they kissed and cheered as they walked down the aisle. I cried. She immediately started running when the ceremony ended, chasing my cousin's kids (what would that make them to me and Miriam?).
Her best friend and cousin, Mia Morgan, was there. Everyone there knew her name because Miriam kept shouting it, "Mee-Yaa"! They are adorable together and love each other so much!

We ended up putting Miriam in just the slip of the dress and changing her from her maryjanes to her sandals...she thought we were the greatest! The best part of the day was the dancing. Man, did she dance. She would spin in a circle and do her form of jumping (bending at her knees up and down). We had a blast! Congratulation to Ashley and Lindsey! You had a BEAUTIFUL and memorable wedding! And thank you to my talented cousin, Kelly, who took all these wonderful pictures!
