Miriam and I went to the coast this weekend to help celebrate Mary and Barbara's 5th birthday. Paul couldn't come because of the golf tournament. Their party was SO much fun. It was at the neatest place...a family had turned their giant yard into a petting farm with goats, turkeys, chickens, horses, ponies, pigs and Miriam's favorites, cats. (ugh!) They also had a huge playground where Miriam had a few accidents. She would just walk right in front of the kids swinging and before I could get to her she got knocked down a few times. Neither one of us enjoyed that too much. I HATE it when she cries uncontrollably. Tough for me to not cry with her. Mary and Barbara are such sweet girls. As soon as we got there, Barbara came running to us yelling, "My cousin is here, it's my cousin, Miriam." She was too cute. She helped Miriam wash her hands...and tried to teach her not to eat the soap.

There were pony rides. I
really didn't want Miriam to do it, but knew JoeJoe and Bebe wanted to see her try. Miriam did NOT like it and secretly I was so glad. I didn't get a picture of the meltdown because I was holding her, but I'm sure Joe has a few.
Miriam sat at the picnic tables like all the other big kids and ate a whole piece of pizza. She LOVED the cake and ice cream and cried when I wouldn't let her eat it with a spoon by herself.

This is the 2nd party recently when it has really hit me that she is becoming a big kid now...makes me a little sad :(
