Miriam is really catching on to our daily prayers.
We thank God every morning for making another day for us. She loves to say, "God job, Jesus. It's so BRIGHT today." Such an encourager.
We say the blessing before our meals. She has almost got the sign of the cross down. Pretty funny to watch where her hands go. She looks at us and giggles and will sneak a bite, She'll hold her hands together and shut her eyes, peeking at us! We always end our blessing praying for God to heal Joe Joe's head and a gratitude prayer to Daddy for working so hard so that I can stay home with Miriam. We'll say 'Amen' and she immediately says, "Now, let's eat."
At night, it's my favorite. We do the sign of the cross and say the "Now I lay me down to sleep" prayer...can't remember the official name. She sits on my lap and looks up at me as I say it. She's got the 1st two lines down which impresses me. At the end we do our "God Blesses..." We usually bless Mimi & Frankie, and JoeJoe & Bebe, and all her cousins. The best is when I let her 'God bless' what she wants, when I don't prompt her. The responses are classic: "God Bless my shows. God Bless my couch. God Bless my TV. God Bless Pupcakes (cupcakes)"
I'm raising a Godly girl with slighty off track priorities, but we'll get there soon!
