A new word every day...

Miriam woke up this morning and just pointed at her bed and said, "Blanket." I had never 'quizzed' her on that word and was so surprised when she said it. She said "stairs" to Paul last night as he was bringing her up.

We went to the gym this morning and although there was a complete meltdown as I left her in the nursery, She got it together and I made it all the way through my Pilate's class. With every stretch, I was hoping that the nursery worker would bring her in...that she would be my excuse. But, she was waiting on Miss Jen's lap eating Doritos (ugh!) when I came to get her in the nursery.

After the gym, I took her to Veteran's Park. A wonderful park with the coolest playground for little ones. Miriam had fun. Really had more fun just walking around the playground equipment than actually getting on it. There was a little boy in camouflage that deliberately pushed Miriam's friend, Luke, and then later Miriam down. I told the boy, "that was not nice," and then went looking for his mom. I backed down quick when I saw her...she had about 150 lbs on me and would have probably pushed me down, too, if I had said anything. I wonder if this will get easier...watching other children knock mine down???

We came home and did our flash cards or "Carrs" as Miriam calls them. Got some new ones for 2-3 year olds and she is keeping up. Max the Monkey and all his shenanigans is the theme. Got to run...she is awake and yelling for "Wawer" -- water. She's pretty thirsty when she wakes up!
